CRESTON PUBLIC LIBRARY ASSOCIATION ORGANIZATION AND POLICY MANUAL

3.1 General

a. - Library services will be provided during the hours which best meet the needs of the community.

b. - Periodic review will be made of library services to determine whether the needs of the community indicate that present services should be discontinued or other services should be added.

c. - Except where prohibited by law, the library may charge such fees or impose penalties, as it deems necessary in order to ensure fair use of its services and to ensure the return of borrowed material. Fees for anything designated as a special service by the Board may be set at a level that could return costs on that service.

d. - The library reserves the right to suspend or cancel borrowing privileges pursuant to the Creston Public Library Association Rules, Regulations and Procedures Manual.

e. - The library staff and volunteers shall maintain confidentiality of patron records and transactions at all times.

f. - If a parent or guardian wishes to discuss a child's borrowing record, the parent or guardian must appear in person at the library with the child's library card.
